California sea lion Zalophus californianus

I like this photo for two reasons: the curves throughout, and the simplified colors.

At the zoo again, zooming in tightly on the California sea lions (Zalophus californianus) during a break in their water ballet. Contrast from the bright afternoon sun was terrible, so I did what I could. But the light angle still provided texture in the dry fur, and a seal-like slickness from the wet fur, with the 'waterline' making a complimentary curve. Works for me.
