There's something about it

That's my excuse for a lot of compositions I decide upon. I can't really define them -- they just feel right to me. And I like finding semi-abstracts in a totally natural setting.

American Alligators (Alligator mississippiensis) come in a variety of sizes, often quite large, but far more often what you're likely to spot are the smaller ones, ranging from 80 to 120 cm or so, and this is the most common way: only eyes and nostrils showing above the water. One of these days, I'll get some photos from beneath the surface. But of the smaller gators...
