I was trying to balance the movement of the water with the stillness of the little tussock island, and liked the placement of the bare yellow leaf (I didn't place it, it was already there). I like how the leaves underwater actually stayed visible.

Does this composition work? I'm still not completely convinced, and welcome anybody's opinions.

This is the head of the mighty Neuse River in NC, not too impressive at this point. Only a few hundred meters (yards) away is the spillway from Falls Lake. When here, I spent more time in the water than out of it, with my shorts, sandals, and trusty waterproof tripod.
