One of the few times I've used a polarizer -- I just never got into using filters, but I was with somebody that had one at the time. Panther Falls in north Georgia was running pretty dry this autumn, not enough water to make the falls themselves interesting, so I dug around for other subjects. After I found this leaf directing an unsteady stream of water from its tip, I borrowed the polarizer to control the reflections from its wet surface, and stopped down significantly to lengthen the shutter speed, letting the water move during the exposure. 'Freezing' the water droplets with a fast shutter speed looks too static and unnatural.
By the way, this was taken only about twenty feet from my first photo in this section, the tan leaf with the water drops on it.
