Everyone looks at composing their photos differently. Some people have an eye, and compositions just leap out at them. Others have to work at it, or never really produce anything strong. Don't ask me where I lie.

In this case, I wanted a sunrise shot with a good foreground. I wandered around before sunrise for quite a while before I settled on this fence and beachgrass layout, then set up and waited for the light.

The light I wanted never came, becoming yellow right at sunrise instead of some warm oranges I was hoping for. And the clouds interfered a bit, so I grabbed what I could. Seems to work anyway.
