Just poking around

Testing out an old camera I'd received, and moreover the first roll of B&W film I'd shot in years. I was simply out on the beach looking for contrasty subjects. The sunlight glinting off of the curlers caught my eye, so I simply timed my shot for the break, going in tighter with a short telephoto. I think I like it because of the collection of sea textures within such a small space, all layered vertically in the frame. Luck put a lot of the emphasis, top to bottom, on the right side.
